Your business details and opening hours

Alongside your common questions, two settings shape what your receptionist knows about your business.

Go to Settings, then Business details. This is the foundation your receptionist works from:

  • About: a plain description, the way you’d explain it to a new customer. “Family-run plumbing firm covering Leeds and nearby. Gas Safe registered, all work guaranteed.”
  • Services: the jobs you take on, one per line.
  • Then pick how you work: We travel to customers, or Customers come to us, or we deliver. Your answer changes the last field.
  • Areas you cover (if you travel): the towns and postcodes you work in. Or Where you’re based (if customers come to you).

The more accurate these are, the better your receptionist answers callers and spots the jobs that are right for you. Tap Looks right on your first visit (it ticks the step off your setup list), or Save changes after that.

Go to Settings, then Opening hours, and set the times you’re open for each day. Turn a day’s switch off to mark it closed. Copy Monday to the other weekdays saves typing the same hours five times.

Call back within is the most your receptionist will promise a caller: Within an hour, Same day, Next working day, or No time promised. Pick the one you can keep on a bad day, not a good one.

Your receptionist still catches every missed call, whatever the hour. Your opening hours and call-back window just help your receptionist set the right expectation with callers about when you’ll get back to them.
