How to forward your calls to Sayora
This is the one step that puts your receptionist to work. You forward the calls you don’t answer to your Sayora number. You keep answering your own phone as normal; only the calls you miss come through.
Go to Settings, then Call forwarding. Sayora asks up to four short questions, then gives you your codes one at a time, with your Sayora number already in them. The recommended answer is selected on each question, so the quickest path is to tap Next until you reach your codes.
The four questions
Section titled “The four questions”- What are you forwarding from? A mobile, or a landline. A landline needs one code and skips the rest.
- How long should your phone ring before your receptionist picks up? 10, 15 or 20 seconds; 20 is the recommended answer. Or straight away, for a line you never answer yourself: every call goes to your receptionist and the last two questions are skipped.
- If you decline a call, or you’re already on one, where should it go? Your receptionist, or your voicemail as now. Choosing your receptionist means every missed call gets answered. It also means a personal call you decline reaches your receptionist.
- And when your phone is off or has no signal? The same choice: your receptionist, or your voicemail as now.
Dial the codes
Section titled “Dial the codes”Tap Show my codes (or Show my code when your answers need only one). Each code gets its own screen. Dial it from the phone you’re forwarding, wait for your phone to confirm it, then tap Dialled it, next. Tap the code itself to copy it. With the recommended answers, the mobile codes are:
- Ring for 20 seconds, then forward:
**61*your Sayora number*11*20# - Declined, or already on a call:
**67*your Sayora number*11# - Off or no signal:
**62*your Sayora number*11#
The 11 tells your phone this is about voice calls, and the 20 is how many seconds it rings before your receptionist steps in. The straight-away answer is one code, **21* your Sayora number *11#.
On a landline, dial *61* your Sayora number # from the line you’re forwarding and hang up once it confirms. BT, Virgin Media, Sky, TalkTalk and most others use the same code; with another provider we’ll help if yours differs.
If a code doesn’t take
Section titled “If a code doesn’t take”Tap Didn’t take? under the code.
- Your phone shows “Unknown Error”: turn Wi-Fi off, wait ten seconds, dial again. The codes travel over the phone network, and Wi-Fi Calling can block them. Wi-Fi back on when you’re done.
- Calls still land in your voicemail: clear that divert with the code shown (
##61#,##67#or##62#), then dial the code again. - Still stuck: your network can set it from their end (the Three app or 333, the Vodafone app, or your provider’s support line), or message us and we’ll do it with you.
Changing your mind
Section titled “Changing your mind”After your last code, and on every later visit, the screen offers Change answers. Sayora remembers your answers, so going through the questions again shows only what to dial to match the new ones, including the code that switches off a divert you no longer want. See my codes again shows the same codes without changing anything. To turn a divert off without changing anything else, see Turning forwarding off.
Once the last code is dialled, the screen asks for the number your customers ring and offers the test: see Testing your forwarding.
