# Spam and cold callers

Cold sales calls and spam never land in your leads. Your receptionist recognises them early, ends the call politely, and moves on.

## What happens to them

* They don't appear in your Inbox and you don't get a text.
* They count towards the **Spam** number in the **This week** strip on your Inbox, so you can see how much noise is being kept off your phone.
* They stay in your call history. Go to **Calls** and switch the filter from **Leads** to **All** to see them, recording and transcript included.

## Callers who hide their number

Your receptionist answers them like anyone else. If you'd rather turn them away, see [Withheld numbers](https://help.sayora.ai/en/article/withheld-numbers-18buv0p/).

## Genuine callers are always looked after

Anyone with a real enquiry, and anyone who's called you before, is treated as a lead. Your receptionist would always rather take a message than turn away a customer.

Other businesses ringing about their dealings with you are looked after too. A courier with a delivery, a supplier, or another firm calling about a job you share gets a message taken and passed on, even though they aren't a customer.

## If a real call was screened out

It happens rarely, but if you spot a genuine enquiry under **All** that didn't reach your Inbox, message us from the chat bubble in your portal. We'll put it right and use the example to keep the screening sharp.
