# Lead alerts and caller texts

Go to **Settings**, then **Leads**. Under **Notifications** are two parts: **To you**, how Sayora tells you about a new lead, and **To the caller**, what your caller gets after the call.

There's no save button. Switches save the moment you flip them. Anything you type, a number, an address or a rule, saves when you move on from the field, and the top of the page says **Saved** once it has.

## To you

### Text alerts

Each new lead is texted to the number under **Mobile number**, the moment the call ends:

> New call from Dave Millar, 07700 900123. Boiler losing pressure, hoping for a visit this week.

Text alerts are on for everyone from the start. The number is usually the one you signed up with, but you can point it at any UK mobile, for example whoever is on call this week. Landlines can't receive texts.

Turn **Text alerts** off and the texts stop; every lead still lands in your portal **Inbox**. The number stays saved either way, because the forwarding test sends its "Test passed" text to it too.

### Email alerts

Email alerts are on from the start too, so each new lead is also emailed, with the same name, number and summary. Turn **Email alerts** off and the emails stop; every lead still lands in your portal **Inbox**. Leave **Email address** blank to use the email you sign in with, or fill it in to send leads somewhere else, such as a shared office inbox. Changing it doesn't change how you sign in.

## To the caller

Turn on **Text your callers** and, when a call ends, the caller gets a text from your business naming what they rang about:

> Thanks for calling Acme Plumbing about a boiler losing pressure, hoping for a visit this week. We'll be in touch soon.

It starts off for new accounts. The text is written from the call by Sayora, so the wording changes from call to call. It comes from a brand sender and the caller can't reply to it. A caller who's asked not to be texted gets nothing, and callers who book an appointment get a booking confirmation instead. When there isn't enough detail to write a summary, no text is sent.

### Rules

With **Text your callers** on, you can add up to three rules that Sayora follows when writing each text. Tap **Add rule** and write it the way you'd brief a colleague, for example asking callers to send a photo of the job, or saying which areas you cover. Sayora works each rule into the message rather than tacking it on.

- Email addresses, phone numbers and web addresses only appear in a text if one of your rules gives them, exactly as you wrote them.
- Keep rules about the enquiry. The text can't carry offers, discounts or review requests, even if a rule asks for one.
- The text has to fit in two text messages, so keep rules short.

A rule saves when you move on from it. Tap the cross beside a rule to remove it; that saves straight away.
